laser cutting

Waterjet cutting

Machining
Steel Unlimited, Inc. is a full service machine shop. Our shop includes CNC vertical mills, horizontal mills, lathes, horizontal grinders, inline carbide embedding machine, heat treating furnaces, hydraulic presses, band saws and a large break press.

tungsten carbide
Tungsten carbide particles are applied directly into the molten puddle of a weld bead. When the bead cools the resulting weld deposit contains large volumes of tungsten carbide particles. These extremely hard and wear resistant particles protect blades and wear parts from premature wear.
Tungsten Carbide can be added to most parts. Standard
patterns as well as custom design patterns to suit any requirement.

Sandblasting
The process of sand blasting involves the use of compressed air in combination with a number of abrasive materials. Our services range from removing rust, corrosion damage, paint and other coatings from iron, steel and other surfaces.
- Useful when a gritty surface profile is required, sandblasting can be used to smooth, sharp or clean hard surfaces.
- Sandblasting or abrasive blasting removes rust, paint, scale, discoloration from heat treatments and many other defects.
- This type of blast cleaning is a preparatory step for your surface which may be finished with paint, plating, power coating or other finishes.

Cement Lining
Internal cement mortar lining is performed by use of a spinning machine, which rotates the pipe centrifugally causing the cement mortar to equalize and form a smooth, dense protective lining. An automated batching system insures that all cement mortar is mixed to precise project requirements and AWWA C205 specifications.
galvanizing
The work is immersed in molten zinc where it will react to form a series of zinc-iron alloy layers. Immersion time varies according to the thickness and weight of the material being galvanized. The material will be withdrawn from the zinc kettle when the coating thickness meets or exceeds the appropriate minimum coating thickness as specified in the
relevant ASTM standard
